WHAT IS RUBELLA?

                 Rubella is also called “German 

Measles” or “Three day measles”. This disease is caused by rubella virus.

        

            When the disease go to our body then it does not realize the people that they are infected. First it starts on the face and spread to the rest of the body. A rash may start around two weeks after exposure and last for three days more.                                                           

          The government of India started in this year “Measles Rubella  Vaccination Campaign” against measles and rubella the world largest campaign. But till now two years of age children get the MMR vaccine of two dose but in this campaign till 9 months to 15 years of age children will get the MR vaccine dose. Many people have question in their mind that the MR vaccine is safe or not. Yes MR vaccine is completely safe and it is being used by more than 150 countries. In the most of the children no side effect of  this vaccine have been observed. In some children, due to this vaccine, fever comes and light inflammation.

                                   Itching in place of injection have been observed but it quickly cures. MR vaccine can be applied to children from 9 months to 15 years of age. The vaccine will be given by the government for free by the government hospitals, anganwadi, schools and mobile van. You can also get this vaccine by going to private hospital.

       

                       This MR  vaccine is mixed  it in the diluent and then given below in the skin. Each vaccine with new disposable syringe which cannot be reused once used.
